Updating database with phpmyadmin

If your website is using a database, this is where all the data of your site is stored.

For example, Word Press stores all your posts, comments and articles in a database.

It shows a blank page (except for the query, which I put an echo statement in to show for debugging).

I do not get any errors when I try to run the PHP code by submitting the form.

This file can be found in the root directory of the domain you have installed it on, unless you have relocated it.

In order to edit the database connection strings for Joomla, simply open the file using your favoured FTP connection method.

Each edit of the database connection strings will require the following information: Database Name: This should be the name of the database you have created.

Database Username: You should use the username used for the user to access the database here.

Once you have done this, make sure you save the new database strings within the file and now Word Press should be able to connect to the specified database as long as you have put in the correct details.

If you’re also wanting to add new users to your MS SQL database, you can follow this guide here.

The database connection strings for Word Press can be found in the file. // ** My SQL settings - You can get this info from your web host ** // /** The name of the database for Word Press */ define('DB_NAME', 'your_database_name'); /** My SQL database username */ define('DB_USER', 'your_database_username'); /** My SQL database password */ define('DB_PASSWORD', 'your_database password'); /** My SQL hostname */ define('DB_HOST', 'your_database_host'); /** Database Charset to use in creating database tables.

Also it seems a little unsafe to update the whole DB each time.

However I can't find any option like selecting a date range to export in the PHPMy Admin export section, it seems to be all or nothing.

and copy/paste that SQL into the live PHPMy Admin SQL window to synchronise the live DB.
